They are popular with gourmets who enjoy cool, fruity wines that are pleasant and elegant to drink.
They are produced from traditional grape varieties such as Ugni-blanc, Colombard and, more rarely, Sauvignon, Chenin and Chardonnay. These white wines should be drunk young. They can be chilled and served as an aperitif and they are the ideal drink with fish, seafood, white meats and goats' cheese.
