The five routes of Les Etapes du cognac run from one village to the next, providing an opportunity to meet local people and gain an insight into winegrowing traditions, gourmet food and the heritage linked to the vineyards of Charente that make up the cognac area.
Green like the vines; blue like the river; golden yellow like the local stone; red like local traditions and orange like stone and estuary. Each route has its own vineyard-based theme and is easy to find on the Cognac Trails tourist map thanks to the colour coding.
